Take a Look at This Creativity

Karl and his crew needed a way to fill their bladder-bags from a stream today, and as we all know 'necessity (or in this case boredom) is the mother of invention'.

Using only natural resources, they were able to channel the water to a hollow log they found, and enable the water to run out of the log like a faucet. Pretty neat if you ask me : ). The whole set-up was even right next to the bank so they didn't have to get their feet wet to fill the bags. Way to go guys ; )! I'm so glad Karl's good with inventing - maybe we'll be famous someday as a result : ).

Drywalling the Basement

Is that Gonzo? No, believe it or not, this is Karl. Karl is so creative and amazing in coming up with solutions to challenges, and the challenge this time was how to sand the new drywall in the basement without choking in all the dust. Well here you have it : )...

This is Karl after the heroic gas mask has served its purpose and the job is finished.

This is another Karl Original. He had to find a way to reach the ceiling so he could sand it, and was sick of moving around the stool he had been using. The solution...he drilled his shoes (his good ones) to the lids of these buckets : )! I always marvel at how he comes up with stuff like this - the buckets, of course, worked perfectly ; ).

I was going through some pictures Karl had taken on our camera, and when I came across these ones I was kind of surprised : ). I think they're pretty cute though!
