I love this picture of Gus! Gus has a best friend named Jack Bauer, and Jack let Gus try on his Halloween costume last Sunday. I love the look on his face : )!

When I was a little girl I loved The Never Ending Story. Who am I kidding - I still love it ; ). Whenever Gus gets his hair cut he reminds me of Falcor, my favorite character in the movie. If Gus was smiling and had flaring nostrils it would be perfect.

Bear Hugs : )...

I couldn't help posting this picture of Gus and one of his favorite toys. This bear came with Gus when we picked him up, and he has taken such good care of it. The only part he can't resist are the bear's ears, he loves to chew on them very carefully. Gosh, what a cute dog!

Kwanis Park

Karl and I went hiking on Thursday at a beautiful little park in Pleasant Grove, UT called Kwanis Park. It was so fun! The trail goes on for a long time, and for the first hour and a half you are walking in the shade beside a beautiful spring riddled with waterfalls. There is also a big, beautiful waterfall along the way. We took our little dog Gus with us, and I was worried that we would have to carry him most of the time, but he's surprisingly such a good hiker! He kept up with us the whole time and - like most dogs - loved to play in the water!

I don't know what kind of face this is, or what inspired it, but I love it : )! It's like he's saying, "Oh yeah, this is fun!" or "Oh man, I hate this!". If only we knew : ).

Shaggy Dog

Okay, so Gus really needs a haircut! I took him for a walk the other day, and he pretty much suffers from heat stroke after two minutes because of his shaggy mane. After awhile he was just lying there on the sidewalk completely beat, and I had to carry the poor guy home. Hopefully getting his hair cut will remedy this situation.

As most of you already know I love animals, so I was VERY happy to finally get our first family pet, Gus! Karl got him for us on my 25th birthday, and I thought it would be fun to post some favorite pictures of our dog : ).

I have no idea how Gus fit in this little bucket : ), but he was so patient with us while we took pictures of him.
